Yes!!! That's why I said *crossing fingers*.
I forget that you're not in the U.S., and may not be familiar with our expressions, and gestures here.
Crossing your fingers is a physical gesture for luck.
If you cross your fingers behind your back(where no-one can see it), while making a statement, or answering a question, it means you're lying, ....but hoping for luck that you won't get caught lying!
