Just wanted to start out by saying that the internet is awesome, isn't it?
I mean, people meeting people in a way where you don't have to put on aires.
A sad thing happened yesterday. The passing of Heath Ledger. Whether by accident or design, it's a great loss. RIP Mr. Ledger.

What do you mean by Trolls?? and yes RIP Heath Ledger, absolutly gutted about the loss of him!  but i am kind of happy at the minute because im starting my driving lessons soon which is really cool!  ... i just hope im good at it! Kim Xx |

A 'troll' is someone who trolls(searches) the forums on the internet for people to pester.
Here. Yahoo defines it very well...:
Yahoo Answers defines a troll as "someone who intentionally and persistently posts inflammatory messages about sensitive topics to bait users into responding or provoke a confrontation. We also consider people to be trolls when they persistently misuse product features such as the ratings system to negatively target others."

LOL...ya there's a lot of them out there.
I know from experience, that internet trolls are a lot like teeth....if we ignore them they go away.
BTW, when I say 'from experience, I mean that about the trolls....not my teeth. I have all my teeth. LOL!

yes, RIP Heath Ledger and now Jeremy Beadle. Good luck with the driving lessons Kimmi and when you get to yr test don't get 3 dangerouses - like I did, look, if I was gunna fail then I'm gunna do it in style.

Maybe I've just been hanging out at all the wrong places, but internet is filled with trolls. So-many-ugh... It's at the point that I can sense before I post something that it's going to get flammed. If there's a tiny weeny little word that is controversial, bam you're jumped. For instance, there's on some forum, a sticky about movies, and you talk about movies you last saw and your comments, etc. So I post about Ironman, I say I think it's great, etc, but point out some incoherences. I already knew what was going to happen when I was going to post that. Surely enough, another one of those (it's a plague really..) teenage rationalists who think they are so much better and intelligent than everybody else, comes and flames me. And typically, they just ignore valid arguments and proceed to try to change the subject by personal attacks, or just something that really doesn't matter.
Really, if you say something, anything, that isn't .. erf.. ''normal'' or widely accepted, you're toast. If you're not a clone, they try to assimilate you.
As for ledge, I don't even know who he is. I don't watch the news >.>

I know exactly what you mean. I just ignore them. That's the best policy. Like teeth....if you ignore them, they go away.

the real name for a troll is eathier a NooB or a Spammer (an upgrade from a NooB but just as bad) |
