Are you looking for an interpretation here, or are you just wanting to discuss this dream?

Being that they're brown suggests something destructive in your waking life is getting out of hand. That you're chopping at them suggests you want to take control of the situation or issue. Because you can't get them down, or that they come back faster than you can remove them suggests you need help taking care of what's causing the situation.

As a vine is a plant, it will represent a logical idea, one that in the case of vines can relate to the divine. As these vines are overgrowing your house, it would tend to suggest that your state of mind or mental attitude (the house) is supporting thinking about the divine in a way that such thoughts have gotten out of control. The overgrown vines could also be seen as implying that the logic being used pertaining to the divine now carries too much weight or influence upon your way of thinking.

Chopping down the vines would suggest cutting the idea of the divine down to size, that is, rendering the issue of the divine
into a state in which it can be dealt with. The effort to do this appears to be failing (growing faster than I can chop). The issue of the divine has seemingly expanded beyond its desirable scope (overgrowing the house).

The brown colouring can imply some practicality is seen related to the logic being used regarding the divine. Note, however, that in nature, when plants turn brown they have past their prime. Perhaps you are seeing practicality in your thinking about the divine instead of the idea of some worldly thinking (green). (as you are aware that a vine might look green)

On a physical level of interpretation, the vine, being a living plant here, will represent a person ? probably one who is spiritually inclined who is using you as a support. (Note how a vine does not grow straight up on its own but leans on something.) It may be difficult to control this person?s spreading, or increasing influence over you and your family.
