(IE: a sick daughter might show the feelings in the relationship being 'ill'. A rebellious child may suggest the parent feels their relationship is conflicted...a kidnapped child may suggest that there is something missing or 'gone' from the marriage, or relationship, an injured daughter may symbolize an 'injured' marriage...etc).

To see your arms as the emphasis in your dream, indicates your nurturing side, and your ability to reach out and care for people. Alternatively, it may represent the struggles and challenges in your life. Consider the phrase "arm yourself" which implies that you need to protect yourself, be more aggressive and take a firmer stance on things.
Left arm - signifies your supportive or nurturing nature and is associated with feminine qualities.
Injured arm(s) - signifies you are feeling an inability to care for yourself or your helplessness in reaching out to others. You may have been feeling limited and restricted in terms of your freedom or activities.
Slipped - to slip on something signifies that you are forcing yourself to do things that you do not really want to do. Also, it suggests you are on 'slippery ground' or that you need to 'watch your step' before you say or do something as you might regret it later.

Have you had an argument with, or about, your stepdaughter recently? Did you say something you now regret? Do you feel as though someone has made a verbal attack on you? Did someone say something that hurt your feelings, and you lashed out verbally? Is there some situation, or emotion you refuse to accept, or acknowledge? Is there something you want to say, but don't quite know how to go about it without hurting feelings? Has someone taken advantage of you, or your position within a situation?
Hope this gives you some insight, Best Wishes!
