and for some reason they have been disturbing me all day.  Here they are:

1) The first dream is I am standing in the doorway that leads to my garage. It's very dark and I hurry to close the electric door opener because I am terrified of something.  I then run to the front window and there in the dark are some really large, dried, leaves all over in front of the garage. I am feeling despair, grief, and terror.

2) Second dream is I am in a the lower part of my house (basement) but the walls are glass and as I look out I see beautiful, huge tropical aquariums with brightly colored beautiful fish swimming about.  I also see walkways between the aquarium walls and see a couple little kids walking in awe.  I made a comment wondering who was paying these kids to walk around all day like that.

Very strange. Any clues as to what these mean, if anything?

Dream 1:

Door - as a boundary, they represent feelings you use to shut others out of your life, to remain independent or private to being open or inviting. As a passageway, they represent going from one state of consciousness to another, or from one inner plane to another. To dream that you are entering through a door, signifies new opportunities that will be presented before you. You are entering into a new stage in your life and moving from one level of consciousness to another.

Shutting a door - represents the repressing of memories and feelings. Also, decisively ending something...(a habit, relationship, job, etc.) It could suggest you feel the need for privacy, or that you are trying to find 'space' for yourself. Also, represents the dismissing attitudes, or tension, we use to shut others out ...to keep others from getting too 'close' to us.

Garage - represents a place for temporary resting of goals. A storage place for ideas or ambitions, or storing hidden aspects that unconsciously drive you in your waking life.

________________

Dream 2:

Basement/Cellar - symbolizes the deepest part of your subconscious mind, your intuition, and your foundation (the beliefs, and ideals, that were 'built' in your earliest beginnings), also represents a part of your subconscious mind where you have kept your fears and problems hidden. The appearance of the basement is an indication of your subconscious state of mind and level of satisfaction.

Walls - codes of behavior, belief systems, attitudes(conscious or subconscious) you live within or are 'protected' by, the boundaries of behavior or thoughts you keep within, are fearful of extending beyond, or are 'trapped' by..(which would represent barriers or restrictions).
Also your feelings of confidence that protect against anxiety or social 'knocks', fears that keep you limited in your activities, feelings or attitudes you keep people away with, and the walls we put up between us to maintain privacy or to keep from being hurt, to maintain a role or status.
Being made of glass suggests your 'walls' that you put up to protest yourself are transparent, and fragile. Also, being that they are acting as an aquarium, it suggests that your fragile walls are an attempt to hold back, or protect you from your emotions, which is represented by the water.

Thinking that the kids are being paid to walk around suggests that you feel you may be feeling that your friends or someone in particular, in your life are only there because they feel they have to be, not because they want to be,.. or because they want something from you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you had to put something you greatly desired on hold for a time, and you feel disappointment?
Have you recently ended a relationship, or a job you liked, or had to move to a new place?
Have you recently had an argument with someone close to you?
I hope I could help a little. Best of luck!
Thank you for your interpretation.
What's weighing on my mind right now is finding a full-time job and leaving my two part-timers as they are not challenging and I feel I no longer am needed there, and the employers are just keeping me on because they feel sorry for me and maybe even are hoping that I quit sometime soon. To me it's kind of frightening because I THOUGHT I was keeping my skills sharp for reentry into the fulltime workforce some day, but am gradually finding out through interviews that they are not impressed with the type of work I have been doing during the last 17 years (raising two children is why I left full time).
I'm still confused about the first dream and the huge, dried, fallen leaves.  Could they signify my dead-end jobs?  And the second dream, with the saltwater aquarium walls, it was so beautiful and colorful, but do the fish or color signify anything?  Also, your interpretation about the kids being paid to walk around, that sounds like me at my two jobs, that they don't really need me there.
Thanks for your insight.  It is very helpful.  Smiley
I would say that what you are experiencing in your waking life right now would certainly cause your dreams.
The dead leaves would definately be the dead-end jobs you've had.
The colored fish may represent the bright future you feel may be just out of reach.
Hopefully a few classes or refresher courses would benefit you towards a more fulfilling career.
