in real life, i lived w my parents in our old house, and it is often my home in my dreams, even though i recently moved out. this dream takes place after my mom moved out after the divorce. 2 unidentified friends and i were doing something in the driveway in the backyard, when a giant squid came up the driveway towards us. it was pink and purple. i remembered seeing it before. it charged at us, and i felt the incredible force of its rushing past me. i ran inside and went upstairs to get a gun that i had used in a previous dream. i found 2 guns and picked the one i had used. i went downstairs near the backdoor and, while tryin to figure out how it worked, i pulled a piece out and couldnt fit it back in. my dad came downstairs, and he disapproved of my having the gun, but he helped me fix it. the dream ends there. now, i have a girlfriend who lives 2000 miles away, and i am moving out there soon. i care about her but her feelings are hurt easily and she strikes out at me. im just looking for some details.

A home from the past - suggests a need for things to be as they were. Things you were 'comfortable', or familiar, with. Also, old habits and old feelings.

Squid - suggests that unconsciously you are feeling threatened. Your judgment may also be clouded. Perhaps you are not seeing things too clearly at the moment. Alternatively, it symbolizes greed, or selfish feelings.

Purple - royalty, wealth, dignity, authority, political power and wealth( in the sense of dishonesty and wickedness). Spirituality, status in one's own circle, increased social life:or the desire for same.
It is a strong color that can not be ignored. Likewise, most people have a strong opinion of purple: they really like it, or vehemently dislike it. To some people, purple has spiritual connotations. The Catholic Church uses it at funerals and around Easter time. It represents spiritual and personal transformation. May symbolize mystery and therefore represent, in psychological terms, deep intuition or awareness of some type as yet unexplored dimension of the self, or your true self. A version of purple is also the color of the crown Chakra, and as such it could represent higher consciousness and spiritual protection.

Pink - a feminine color that usually symbolizes love,(tender love rather than passionate love ie: the love for a child, sibling, or parent), happiness, joy, compassion, the attainment of a goal(success), health and good feelings.

Gun - symbolizes aggression, anger, and potential danger. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence. Alternatively, a gun can represent the penis and male sexual drive. Thus the gun may mean power and impotence. To dream that you are loading a gun, forewarns that you should be careful in not letting your temper get out of control. To dream that you shoot someone, or something, with a gun, denotes your aggressive feelings and hidden anger toward that particular person....or the person that an object represents.

Are you feeling a little apprehensive about moving so far away?
Do you feel that sometimes your girlfriend is a little selfish?
Are you thinking you'd rather have you girlfriend move closer to you?

I hope this helps...good luck!
