Hi All,
My names Vicki, I'm 34, no children and in a relatively new relationship.
I dreamt I was on a beach with a couple of male friends, I saw a crab hiding high up on the beach in a hole. I wanted to rescue it and take it to the water but couldn't quite reach it, I didn't want one of my friends to help and the other was busy messing wround, playing the fool and ignored my pleas for help. I felt frustrated and upset. Eventually I managed to grab the crab and pull it out of the hole but it struggled so much it started to wriggle out of its own shell and eventually rather than see it hurt/kill itself I let it fall to the ground and it ran and hid under the pier.
So...whats the verdict :O)

It seems to me that you may have experience some bad relationship in the past and you are trying to protect your heart from the hurt and at the same time you are frustrated because you want the love that you are looking for but you are afraid, to come out of you shell (the crab) and we you finally decide to get the relationship thing a try again, the hurt from the pass comes back you and you begin to go back into your shell. I hope this helps.

I'd have to agree with Lcm. You're in a 'new' relationship, and you're remembering the old hurts from past relationships. You've built a tough shell around yourself, and feel very vulnerable without it.

But take heart! Crabs do 'outgrow' their shells and moult. They emerge with a new shell, and are vulnerable until it hardens. Maybe by the time you 'outgrow' this shell....you won't need a new one.
Best of luck in love and happiness,
J
