Older sister - It is very common for us to dream about all different types of people. Siblings are a fantastic source of dream material. Our siblings are important to us emotionally and psychologically. We are bound to them on some level throughout our lives; thus, they will appear in our dreams in may different forms. We learn important lessons about ourselves through our brothers and sisters. They are a reflection on us, and we can not escape their presence and their love, hate or any other emotion. There may be an attribute of your sister's that you identify with, or that you admire and would like to posess yourself.
Mother - represents, nurturing, wisdom, the subconscious, intuition, natural and instinctive life, and more experienced part of feminine self aspect. Also, your relationship with your mother. That the dream isn't about your Mom, but she is there, suggests you feel the need for guidance, or support.
You as a child - symbolizes your 'inner child'. A part of you that wants things the way they used to be. More simplicity, and less responsibility.
Restaurant - represents sociability. Also, a search for emotional or sexual satisfaction, a need for company or sexuality. It also suggests support of all kinds is available from people who care for you. If the restaurant is chic and nicely decorated, you would feel that your world is pretty much in order, but if it’s a shabby place(your really nice restaurant having picnic tables), both your spirits and your life circumstances could use a lift, and you may need to seek it outside your usual 'domain'. Table - suggests assimilation, or "coming together" of varying parts of your personality. It could be that you are working on becoming aware of your own multi-dimensional nature and are attempting to become a more harmonious individual. Also, the table represents nourishment, friendship, unity, and refers to your social and family connections. It could represent emotionally charged events, such as a family dinner, contractual negotiations, or pleasant/unpleasant meetings.
Bad Food - There is food for thought, food for the mind, food for the body, and nourishment that gives a sense of connecting with something eternal,...we can 'digest' information, or experience(food for growth as an individual). Food can represent any one of these. That is was bad food suggests that you are having a 'bad experience, or 'bad feelings'.
Your normal self along with your younger self - suggests you feel torn....between being a responsible adult with adult like behaviors, and being like a child, with less worries and responsibilities.
Pink Swimsuit: Pink - a feminine color that usually symbolizes love,(tender love rather than passionate love ie: the love for a child, sibling, or parent), happiness, joy, compassion, the attainment of a goal(success), health and good feelings. Swimsuit - Clothes represent the stance, or attitudes we use to meet other people or special situations...such as work, danger, self-protection, feelings of reserve, shyness, anxiety, or agressiveness. Clothes can depict self-respect, and how we see ourselves in society - the difference between what we want, and what we feel others want of us. When we consider their color, our clothes can express our emotional condition and moods. The swimsuit itself, would represent relaxation, or revealing your feelings. Also alludes to swimming: Confidence in dealing with the impacts(anxieties or emotions) that cause some people to 'go under'...either in relationships or something like running a family or business, being able to meet the many influences, urges, and thoughts, in which we exist... expressive motivation, trusting yourself, life, and sexuality. There is an element of personal survival in swimming, much like life.
Friend's old car(white minivan) - All vehicles symbolize(in the language of mind) a means for experience. The use of the vehicle will give indications of the type of experience being related in the dream message. For instance, an Ambulance will indicate a need for healing in the giving and receiving of experience, a Police Car will signify the need for discipline in experiences. The car in your dream may symbolize the physical self or ego development and ego function. In that, it represents the way that you travel through your life's journey. Because it was your friend's old vehicle, it represents your connection with your friend.(because of her you went on that journey) White - White is feminine, symbolizing virginity, but also emotional coldness and immaturity. Also, purity, well earned success, honesty, virtue, innocence, peace, happiness, joy, transformation, cleanliness, dignity, awareness, clarity of mind, and light feelings. White in a dream might possibly be a reminder to resolve special situations and problems.
Wooded area - represents the 'background of your subconscious, or your "mental space". Suggests the need for peace, or relaxation.
Secluded house (mansion) - House - A house usually always represents you, or rather 'the self'...your body and the attributes of your personality: They symbolize our emotional and psychological selves. All of your experiences, stages of development, and parts of your conscious and unconscious life may be represented by that house. The house may be representing issues concerning a particular dilemma in your life, or it may be more general and comprehensive. Although a house represents all the aspects of 'the self', in which our identity lives(body, emotions, creativity, etc)...a mansion is depicting the same thing, but with a different emphasis. It is ourselves, as we are, plus features still latent...(possibilities not yet developed, or explored.) That it's secluded suggests you want some time away from others. Pool - represents your inner world of thoughts, fantasies, and feelings. Sometimes a sense of unity with others - a collective consciousness, or the influence other people have on us in a social, or group, interaction.(ie: like when public opinion, or condemnation, influences us. Example: Your friend is mad at her ex....so you feel you should be too. Even though you have never met him). And a pool has water, which represents emotions. Guest house - Same as house, but in a more temporary way.
Gravel parking lot - A parking lot represents the need for a break, or a rest from the things that 'drive you'. That it's gravel, suggests you feel you are in a 'rocky', or rough, situation.
Modern sculptures(art) - The creative side of the subconscious, the desire or ability to be creative, the drive to express something of yourself that may be repressed, the impractical side of 'the self'. May also represent a desire for recognition, or a chance to demonstrate your 'skill', or qualities.
Shrine of friend - suggests you think very highly of your friend, and that you believe others should as well.
Water on floor - Emotions. That your younger self was wading through it, suggests you feel as though you are 'wading through' your emotions. May also suggest that you feel your friend's ex is a 'shallow' person.
Beige decor - suggests feelings of 'blah'...a need for more self-expression.
Fight (violence) - represents the facets of personality that never get displayed in waking life, and can become quite animated. Nowhere is this more apparent than with violent behavior. The violence may be justified or random, but it is often extremely graphic. It is so graphic, in fact, that you should understand that this is normal, although upsetting, ..and that it's presence is almost always an exaggeration of another point. Violence can be an off-shoot of heroic behavior,....ie: feeling the need to protect someone, or their reputation.
Swords and knives - Weapons often represent our aggressive feelings of antipathy, or hatred, and are associated with physical violence.
Hurting a recognizable person suggests you are harboring the desire to hurt, or kill, that person. That you have never seen or met him, is why he has the different, or changing, faces.
Blood and bleeding - Life's energy source. Love, passion, anger, and life itself...a vital part of our physiology and it may symbolize our strengths and weaknesses and our physical, emotional, and/or spiritual energy health. If you are currently experiencing a very difficult time in your life, you may have dreams with bloody and frightening images. Losing blood may suggest you are losing energy because of inner conflicts or waking conflicts, and that you have feelings of being emotionally drained.
Run away to friend's house and hiding - represents a part of you that doesn't want to face an issue, or another person.
Attack - suggests feeling a threat in your waking life. Would also suggest feeling a need to defend your actions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would say that most of you dream is out of caring for your friend, anger over her situation, and frustration that you can't solve her problem for her. Part of you, the child in you, would like it all to 'just go away'....but the adult part of you would like to be able to deal with the situation.
Although you love your friend dearly, are you beginning to feel 'pulled down', or emotionally drained? Do you sometimes feel that you shouldn't have to fight other peoples' battles for them? Do you feel guilty for wanting some peace and quiet, or for leaving(moving out of the country)?
I hope this gives you something to go on....good luck!
