our dreams contains messages that tells us something about ourselves. most of the people tend to forget their dream when they wake up. but have you experienced that you keep on dreaming the same thing over and over again? yup that's recurring dream. recurring dream usually tells us something so important that it will not stop until you figured it out. it seems like a defense mechanism of our subconscious mind. it can reveal some valuable information about us. it maybe frustration, or unresolved or unsettled conflict in our waking life. or some urgent underlying message in your subconscious mind that wants itself to be understood. here are some tips that i learned and personally use in my recurring dreams.
1. know. you must know or learn what your recurring dream means. the elements in your dream my symbolize any aspect in your life, that may need to be changed, replaced, or enhanced.
2. understand. you must understand why those recurring dreams happen. are the symbols in your dream really matter to you, well, most probably yes, because it keeps on coming back.
3. accept. there will be changes in your life, and you have to accept it. that is why your subconscious mind keeps on telling it to you.
4. if you really can't figure it out, try confronting your dream. that may be lucid dreaming. i can help a lot. with this, you can get direct access to the message that your subconscious is trying to tell.
5. patience. sometimes when you already realized what you dreamt,  it still keeps on coming back. it is still a defense mechanism of your subconscious mind reminding you, and keeping you on track.

when you fully discovered what your recurring dream is trying to tell you, it will eventually disappear.

i personally have recurring dreams up to 4 years, as soon as i realized what it meant then *puff* one day it stopped.   Cheesy

i hope this article can help people with recurring dreams. Wink

It seems I'm not the only one to have had a "recurring topic" of dreaming. related to the ex. I'm so over it, it's been 3 years, but up to 1 year ago I still dreamed about him in any sort of ways and manner, mostly him assuming he is still my boyfriend, acting as such, and me realizing in dreams he's not and trying to explain it to him or just make him "lose" my track. It was really tiresome at some point. I hated it how some were almost sexually abusing on his part and I felt dirty in the morning because of a dream. It almost felt like real abuse and I had the urge of writing him emails telling him to go someplace hot and smoky...

You know, it's true that you only dream about someone if you have some "unfinished business" with them. But the weird part is that the "unfinished business" can be on the other's part, and you still get the dreams... like there's a connection. I guess it's Life's way to tell you you're tied to everyone you come in contact with and must help them get over the stuff that concerns both or you'll take the consequences too.

I have had this same dream only in a few different variations, I am at a house, it's large, round and all enclosed in glass, all the furniture inside is white, but I can't get inside so I go around back and there is a swimming pool, sometimes it's huge, empty and cracked and sometimes it's full, beautiful and twinkling and packed with people, there is the beach behind it but it's like the pool is all in its own little world,
