Lastnight I had this dream, I dreamt
I was at my best friends house and I was in the same bed as her, we were laying in the dark talking and she started telling me about a dream she had that a aborigional spirit man was trying to get her in her dreams and he kept coming into her room and wouldn't leave and this was only happening because she didn't go for a drive in her brothers car. But at the same time she was telling me about all this I was seeing the spirit and he was really scaring me he was hanging from a rope from the door then he was coming towards me and I started saying the lords prayer over and over again and imagining protecting myself with a ball of white light to keep him out. Then I woke up terrified and actually started saying the lords prayer! What does this mean?

Best friends house - A house usually always represents you, or rather 'the self'...your body and the attributes of your personality:
They symbolize our emotional and psychological selves. All of your experiences, stages of development, and parts of your conscious and unconscious life may be represented by that house. The house may be representing issues concerning a particular dilemma in your life, or it may be more general and comprehensive.

Bed - where we sleep, rest, restore our minds and bodies and engage in sexual pleasure. The bed is symbolic of all of these things. The bed could also symbolize the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious (i.e.our daily lives and the great unknown, our spirit and our psychological undercurrent). The quality and the cleanliness of the bed in our dreams, may say something about the way we feel about ourselves and our relationships. In reality we "make our own bed," so the dream may reflect that bed and remind us that we have to either change it or lie in it.
That you were at your best friend's house and you were both sharing the same bed, suggests you feel very close to your friend, and may share the same attributes, or are sharing a similar situation in your waking life.

Aboriginal spirit man (Shaman) - symbolizes a spiritual messenger or guide. The shaman is a variation of the "wise old man", an archetypal figure who represents superior knowledge, wisdom and insight.

Hanging from a rope - choking off some type of emotional energy, guilt, or 'hang-ups'.

Door - represent opportunities

Praying - signifies a need to turn over some matter to a higher force and let it go, the need for guidance from a 'higer power'. You need to learn to relinquish and let go of your worries. It may also be an indication that you need to pray more, or need guidance in your 'spiritual' life.

Protecting myself - indicates that you are feeling helpless in some situation. Life's difficulties have made you dependable on others. You need to start taking charge of the situation. To dream that you are protecting someone, suggests that you are putting up an emotional wall or barrier between you and others around you. Consider who or what you are protecting for clues as to what aspect of your own self you are afraid of letting out and letting others know.

Ball of white light - a sign that you are raising your consciousness through awareness. Light always symbolizes a guiding force. Dreaming of light could be that you are on the right path, or soon you will find out which path to take.
Whether you are dreaming or awake, light is a very positive symbol. It represents enlightenment, lifting of shadow, the acquisition of understanding and knowledge, and a positive force. Depending on the details of the dream, you may give the light spiritual or physical meaning. For some, the light may represent a higher force or power, God's presence, or rays of His love and peace.
White: Purity that dispels the darkness; righteousness; God's majesty; blameless; washed white by the blood; redeemed; God's glory; white is associated with light and the new heavens and earth; victory; completion.

Are you questioning your validity in life?....as in "What is my purpose in life?" ...."What is the meaning of life?"
Do you feel that you are lacking direction, or structure, in your waking life?
Are you facing a difficult situation, and you feel the need for guidance from an older, or more experienced person?
Are you worried about your future, or opportunities towards your future?
Have you done something for which you feel guilty?...Or something for which you feel you'll need protection from?

I hope this helps allay some of your fear.
Good Luck!
