Some of the dreams and other experiences that I read online seem to be caused by harmful spirits. These spirits do not come from the dreamer but come from outside of the dreamer.
This article seems to be saying that people who have reached a high level of spirituality (that is, they are having an awakening) are like magnets to spirits ? both good and bad.
The stress of an awakening has put many of these people in a condition where they are susceptible to attacks from harmful spirits. However, as the author wrote, these are his opinions and his experiences.

It came to my attention recently that some of my Kundalini problems were not being caused by the energy itself but by entities and energies attracted to my vulnerable and fearful state. T
here are both light and dark energies in this universe and unfortunately, it seems that when a person goes through a protracted awakening and there are often overwhelming experiences to handle, alot of fear and negativity can be released. Which can attract negative forces. I won't go into the details of my own experiences but I will say that I prayed for and received help. There are quite a few books being published now about possession and dealing with negative energies in your space; its apparently becoming a bit of a problem as more and more people's vibrations are rising and the power of their emotions and thoughts are broadcasting far and wide.
I could go on and on for hours about my beliefs about the dark side and my experiences and the experiences that I've heard others going through. However, that would probably only scare people and would not give any real helpful information. Which is what this article is about. There are several easy and gentle methods to procure protection for yourself and your loved ones that I've used with success. The first method involves protection prayers.
I believe the true and ultimate protection prayer is to pray to the God of your understanding for help and guidance. However, from what I've learned there are beings of the light whose work is to give protection for those who ask. It's like on this plane of existence when you feel threatened you can ask a government branch for help and they'll refer you to the police whose specific job it is to provide safety. And yes, apparently you must ask. "Ask and ye shall receive."
Here are two protection prayers I utilize daily. I know of others but these two are concise and powerful and take very little time. The Angelic prayer I use in the morning and before I go to bed at night to ensure I'm protected. I say the Father, Mother God prayer daily for extra coverage and to go straight to the Source of all things.
Angelic Protection PrayerI request my angels, my true and loving angels of God, to protect me today from dark forces and to remove any and all dark energies from my body, mind, spirit and vicinity. I ask warrior angels of the light to guard me against further disturbance. Please fill my aura with divine light and help heal any damage to my body, mind and soul. I am of the light and I am aligned only with God and the forces of light and love. Thank you for your assistance. I deserve a life of health, love and happiness. I deserve to be free. So be it. Amen.
Father, Mother God Prayer of Protection
Father, Mother God I ask that (people you want protected) and myself, our home and our property be cleared and cleansed within the Universal White Christ Light, the Green Healing Light, and the Purple Transmuting Flame. Within God's will and for our highest good, I ask that any and all negativity be completely sealed in it's own light, and cut off and removed from us. Impersonally, with neither love nor hate, I return all negativity to it's source of emanation, decreeing that it never again be allowed to reestablish itself within us or anyone else in any form. I now ask that we be placed within a triple capsule of the Universal White Christ Light of Protection, and for this blessing I give thanks.
I very recently received information that many of the manifestations of darkness we deal with are actually human thought forms that have held form on the astral plane and become a sort of active energy that can last for many years. These thought forms can manifest either negatively, such as in the form of demons or monsters, or positively in the form of Jesus or Mother Mary. Someone going through a difficult awakening may feel they are being attacked by demons and entities which are actually negative thought forms, many times their own negative thought forms from this or other incarnations. And thought forms, created by human minds, can be dissolved by human minds. When I feel myself being contacted by something energetically unwanted, I immediately ask if they are of the light and whom they serve. Usually that is enough to get a clear hold on what side they're on, light or dark.
According to what I've heard of Universal Law, a dark being cannot directly claim to be of the light. Anything can say they're of God, since everything is of God. But not everything serves the light and that's the key. If I discern a dark presence around me, I immediately say (either out loud or telepathically) "If you are an astral form, you have no true essence and impersonally with neither love nor hate, in the name of God I dissolve you, I dissolve you, IN THE NAME OF GOD I DISSOLVE YOU BACK TO THE SOURCE OF ALL THINGS!" It works pretty well and from what I've been told, you are doing the negative manifestation a favor by sending it back to the Source so it can become it's true self again, pure energy. As we've all heard numerous times, it pays to watch your thoughts and expressions and try to keep them as positive as possible.
You can actually call on astral police for protection. There are apparently beings that police the astral plane to "keep the peace" so to speak, and you can call on them for help. If you feel besieged by negativity, call on the astral police (you can also call them spirit bouncers) and ask them to clear you and your home of unwanted energies. Please remember from time to time to respectfully thank these beings for helping you. They do so with no recompense as we know it; from what I've been told they help as their service to God and I am in awe of such selflessness and devotion.
You can also smudge your home and yourself utilizing sage, which can be purchased at a metaphysical shop or you can pick it yourself if it grows locally. Burn the sage (it's respectful and good manners to first offer thanks to the 4 directions and earth & sky) and immerse yourself and your property in the cleansing smoke. I've also found wearing a piece of snowflake obsidian helps ward off negative forces.
These are a few of the methods I've found useful in keeping my path relatively clear as I move forward. I hope others find them helpful. Peace.
