Hi my name is Vanessa, I am 20 years old living in Miami, fl. For some background info, I am married to a US Marine and recently just moved to my own apartment on the 2nd floor; however, I am living by myself due to the fact that my husband is stationed at Beaufort, SC. All of my family relocated to Georgia about two years ago so it?s basically only me in Miami with an exception of a cousin going to school here. Well I had this dream last night, a nightmare to be more exact and it bothers me so much that I feel I have to find someone to interpret it for me.
In the nightmare I find myself right outside my door in the hallway of my apartment complex. I realize I have my two younger sisters with me (in real life they are in Georgia). I then notice that my doormat is placed on the top of the stairs (my door is about 6ft from the stairs) instead of being in front of my door where it is usually at. But in the nightmare, I know its not suppose to be there but I don?t try to put it in it?s correct place, instead I attempt to past it and continue to go downstairs with my sisters to my mother who is in the parking lot.
As I am walking to go down the stairs, suddenly a bunch of rats, roaches, ants, just pests in general swarm to the doormat that as if there was food on the mat and they were racing to get it. My sisters and I move back afraid and the rats start heading to us however, my two dogs, one yorkie (Peanut) and one Maltese (Sheena), rush out from nowhere and started attacking the rats back as to defend us.
Mind you, these dogs are currently in Georgia where the rest of my family is at. Also, Sheena is the older one who is 7 years old (Peanut is 3) and she is a very big part of the family we had her since she was a puppy and we treat her like she is an actual human. She is also extremely protective of my sisters and I in real life and is also very loving to us like a mom.
Anyways, while they are both fighting these rats, one tries to crawl to me and I stomped it. It was a big grey rat and I remember seeing the mushy red insides after I squashed it. We tried to yell at my mother downstairs to help but she didn?t come or even reply back, as if she didn?t hear us. Then the pests just go away and we see our dogs hurt with Sheena being the one who is hurt the most. She has blood in her eyes and several deep bites and cuts everywhere. The girls and I scoop them up and rush to the car saying how we need to get them to the animal hospital and how Sheena is going to die if we don?t get her there. As we go to the car I realized I have the wrong set of keys and had to rush back to my apartment to get the right ones. I retrieved them, got into the car with the girls in the back seat holding the dogs and I am rushing to the animal hospital but I cannot find it. I am driving everywhere to look for it but nothing.
In the middle of driving, one of my sisters, Marilyn (who in real life is the person Sheena is the most attached to), starts crying and says Sheena is gone. I stop the car, look back, and see Sheena?s lifeless limp body in Marilyn?s arms. Peanut was still alive but Sheena was gone and we started crying very hard. In the nightmare I am thinking about all the cute good things she?s done and the happy memories we shared as a family in the past 7 years we had her. And I start the car again and continue to the animal hospital because in the nightmare I was thinking, ?Peanut is still hurt and I have to get him there?. Then about 10 minutes into driving, Marilyn screams and says Sheena is alive again and we see Sheena barely alive as if she struggled and fought to come back to us. Then I just wake up in the middle of the night from the nightmare sweating heavily.
I have been thinking about this nightmare nonstop. It really bothers me. Especially since Sheena is already 7 years and she isn?t in the best of health. Even writing this nightmare out and describing it forced me to hold back tears. Can someone please help me interpret this?
