i'm sitting at a bar next to my best friend, which, mind you, will probably never happen in real life... she doesn't believe in drinking.
i pulled my phone out of my purse and see that i've missed two calls from rob.
i say "oh, that's what i heard," to christina.
i call him back, he tells me to come to the monte carlo to meet him.
when we get there, i see him and another couple of guys walking down the hallway toward us. they have another guy restrained. the guy looks totally nuts; it's like a scene from a mental hospital. there's something in his eyes i don't like. i open the door so they can go outside and stand between it and the wall. i don't want to be anywhere near that crazy guy. he breaks free of their hold and stands against the same wall i'm leaning on and looks at me all crazy, like he's about to do something stupid. i notice he has a broken hand. he moves closer to me. i let the door shut so i can run behind rob and the two other guys who are trying to corner and restrain him again. they move in closer, the crazy guy starts throwing punches. rob yells to me "have the front desk call the cops!" i run toward the front desk, then stand there saying "excuse me" a handful of times before someone finally pays attention. i tell her to call the cops, she looks at the craziness at the end of the hall and says,"the cops won't come out for something like this." i say to her "thanks a f---ing lot for your help," then run back. apparently i don't have my cell anymore. there's like an armoire in the corner where they're standing now. the bottom drawer is halfway open, and there are pants in it, but they look like legs. the crazy guy is now underneath the armoire. i look at one of the other guys, he says "rob put him in the drawer but he got out," like that's the most normal thing in the world. we're all standing there staring at the arm of the crazy guy sticking out from under the armoire, then he jumps out, grabs my best friend, and puts his hands around her neck. the guys move in on him and get her out of his grip. he goes after rob. they go at it for a minute, then he gets rob pinned on the floor, his hands around rob's neck. i hear a cracking noise, then rob starts to bleed from his nose and mouth and ears. the crazy guy broke his neck. he sees the blood and immediately backs up against the armoire, staring at what he did. he looks like he's shocked, like it was unexpected. i start screaming "no" over and over, and crying. i try to shake rob out of it, but i know he's dead.
i woke up almost in tears.
that was yesterday morning, and i still can't get that image out of my head.

let me clarify something.
rob is my ex boyfriend who i recently started talking to again... i haven't seen him in almost a year.
and his name isn't actually rob, but that's the name i have him saved as in my phone because my current boyfriend hates him.

i've had dreams like this before, not as violent or descriptive, but horrible nonetheless, and some of them have actually happened... and that freaks me out. yeah, he's my ex and things between us ended badly, but that was four years ago, and now we're working on being friends. he's not my favorite person in the world, but i don't want to see something like this happen to him, in real life, or in my head.

any suggestions would be SUPER... i have no idea what's wrong with me, having idiot dreams like this.
