This is the first time I've done this but also I've never really had a dream bother me this much before. It was really kind of disturbing for me. BTW, I'm a 28 yo SAHM with 3 kids. A 4yo DD, a 2yo DS and an almost 2 month old DS.

In my dream I'm driving down the road that I live on with my baby in his carseat in the backseat. I was driving my Saab. (I don't have this car anymore. Traded it in when I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest) It's a pretty active highway during the day but generally quiet at night. A state road. It looked like it had just finished raining because everything had that wet look to it. For some reason I was driving on the other side of the road and had to swerve out of the way of an oncoming truck. I realized I was on the wrong side. So when I jerked the wheel I felt the car swerve over and I thought that I would be fine. Then in that same moment I felt the back wheels of the car jam and send the car into a spin. I could physically feel the force of the spin pin me against the seat. I had enough time to make the sign of the cross in front of me and start to say a prayer. I just had a feeling that this was going to end badly and wanted to say a prayer in case I didn't make it out alive. As I'm saying my prayer I realized my baby was in the backseat and got scared and upset that something would happen to him. I wasn't worried about myself dying in the accident but I didn't want him hurt. I could still feel the pressure of being pinned to the seat by the car spinning but I also felt a weight on my chest. I woke up cuz my baby was sleeping on me and his fingers tickled my arm. The weight I felt was him sleeping on me. But I was so upset and so glad I woke up before the accident actually occurred.

Any thoughts would help me out greatly!

Vehicles - All vehicles symbolize(in the language of mind) a means for experience. The use of the vehicle will give indications of the type of experience being related in the dream message. For instance, an ambulance will indicate a need for healing in the giving and receiving of experience, a police car will signify the need for discipline in experiences, an old car might suggest old habits, or 'things the way hey used to be'...etc.

The car in your dream may symbolize the physical self or ego development and ego function. In that, it represents the way that you travel through your life's journey. Consider all of the details in the dream, including its emotional content (e.g. difficulty of the road, identity of the driver, direction of the incline). Recurring car dreams usually deal with life's major themes that may include issues of control and sensibility. By carefully examining this dream, you may gain insight into important areas of life, including to how well you are navigating from one stage of your life to another, if you are assertive and take charge or are passive. Dreaming about traveling in a car is a very, very common dream theme that provides valuable information in regard to a specific part of or long-standing theme in your life's journey.

Road - symbolizes the road in life....the journey that you take to achieve your goals....your sense of direction and pursuit of those goals. It could be the road to your heart, spirit, or mind. Consider the kind of road that your are on and try to see how it relates to your daily realities.
A winding, curvy, or bumpy road in your dream, suggests that you will experience many obstacles and setbacks in achieving your goals, and you may be met with unexpected difficulties, and may feel the need to re-think your options.
A slippery road suggests the need to go forward with caution.
A wet road suggests you are on an emotional path.
If the road is dark, then it reflects the darker or more frightening choices which you have made or are making.
A smooth road bordered by green trees and flowers indicates a steady progress and steady climb up the social ladder.
If the road is straight and narrow, then it means that your path to success is going according as planned, but has little room for error.
If the road is straight, well-marked and lit, it may be reinforcement to you that you are moving in the right directions.
Being on the wrong side of the raod suggests you feel you're 'going the wrong way' in life and you need to turn around and face right.
A dead-end would suggest you feel you're going nowhere in life.
A cul-de-sac would suggest you feel you're 'going in circles'.
An unknown road in your dream means that your new project will cause more grief than it is worth, and you feel it may be a waste of time
Seeing a threatening creature or person on a road, parallels a hostile situation/person you are encountering in your waking life. It is an obstacle that you need to overcome, no matter how intimidating the situation or person may appear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Light4Luv suggests:....do you feel a loss of control somewhere in your waking life?
Additionally:
Are you going through a situation where you're wishing for the time period when you owned your old car...or alternately, you're happier now than back then(back when you owned that car was life hard and felt out of control)?
Do you feel your life is headed in the wrong direction?
Are you feeling like you're 'swerving around' issues, rather than facing them?
I'm sure your little one laying on your chest was the reason you felt the weight of the force of the car spinning....which made the dream just that much more 'real'.
I hope we could help you gain some insight. Best of luck!
