I'm not sure exactly what it was. Maybe it was a type of string or waxy, thin root. It went in deep and I was desperately pulling to get it out. It was extremely painful. It took ages to eventually get out and felt so vivid and real. Does anyone know what it means? Matt

Lugus, if you could help, I would really appreciate it.

I dream of my deceased mother from time to time, but recently I had 2 back to back dreams of her that, to me, have a kind of progression to them. I usually do not dream of my mother consecutively like this. She has been passed on for 14 years, since I was 15.

In the first dream (about 2-3 weeks ago), I introduced a guy friend of mine (we are not dating but I care for him very much) to my parents. My mother looked up at him and smiled. It was not just a cordial smile, but seemed kind of familiar to me, even knowing.

The second dream, I had it this past Monday night. This same guy friend and I were texting each other, but we kept missing each other. When we finally did catch up, he came over to my house, but it is a house that I am totally unfamiliar with. My mother was sitting in a chair almost as though she was waiting for him to get there. Once he did, he sat on the couch that was next to the chair. I excused myself to go change clothes and when I came back, they were done talking and my mother was smiling again.

The odd thing is, my mother does not talk to me in my dreams. (Of all the dreams I've had of her, she has only spoken to me once). But she is always a calm, steady presence; she's never distressed or anything. She's always exactly how I remember her. But I found it strange in this dream that she would talk to him but not me, and that I don't know the contents of the conversation, almost as though what was said between them was not meant for me to know.

I have no idea what to make of this dream and I would appreciate  your help with trying to make sense of it. I'm honestly afraid to read too much into it.

Possible interpretations by other members are welcome as well.

Many thanx.

An ear may be telling you to listen to what you are being told. The advice may be coming from people you know in waking life or from your own inner self. Perhaps you should listen to the voice of your conscience?
