Two night ago I dreamed that my daughter was on a bicycle chatting to some friends. I was also standing talking to one of the mums about 6 feet away. My daughter turned the bike around and started doing a wheelie, she was going downhill and trying to manoever the bike around bollards and people. She didn't seem to be able to get the front wheel back down and was totally out of control. I heard a crash as the bike flipped backwards and tried to run to where I knew she was laying, but each time I tried to run I lifted and floated into the air, (this happens frequently in dreams). I mentally said "not now" and drifted back down to the ground. The only way I could move was to speed walk. I could see her trainers on the ground a little way infront of me. Looking further on I saw two youths trying to pick her up..she was unconscious. They had her by her arms, and the boy who had hold of her right arm lost his grip causing her to twist and smash her head against the wall where she slumped back to the ground. The more I hurried, the further away she seemed. I shouted out for the Angels to help her before waking up.
This dream really upset me as my daughter means the world to me. Any help or advice from you all would be wonderful.

Hi Scotney!
The lyrics: "Mary, Mary quite contrary...", popped into my head when I read your sleep scene.
Dream Theme: movement towards self awareness, inner harmony & self love.
The dream characters are all aspects of YOU & your present situation. In this vision your daughter is an immature/rebellious extention of yourself & the boy is your present/future beau (boy = early stage of relationship). In the opening dream scene, you begin by communicating with various parts of your psyche for pre-integration (chatting with friends).
You are making every effort to handle a new phase of your life with grace & ease. As you try to balance your emotions & logic you're teetering out of control, afraid of a negative outcome (airborne front wheel--logic; you running--emotions). You keep steering around the idea of allowing your ship (man) to enter your shipyard (heart)--maneuvering around bollards. You are excited about this fresh romance, but are hesitant (your dream phrase: "not now"). One moment you are floating on air considering all the delicious possibilities then you ground your fantasies (drifting back down). You are struggling to tap into your unconscious mind to understand the real reason for your anxiety. This is a crucial confidence issue that you must overcome. Your old friend has the power to uplift you with new ways of thinking, but don't allow him to be domineering. He will be supportive as long as you don't "twist away & smash your head": relax & allow him to fill your mind, but still rely on your instincts. Stop trying to outrun your past pain & get a grip on what is motivating your rebellion. Scotney, your last union ended over a decade ago. It is time to discard your un-stylish attitude & step fashionably into your future bliss.

Hi Goddess V,
Thanks once again for another interesting interpretation. I was so worried thinking that maybe the dream was a warning regarding my daughter. I didn't even begin to think of it in any other terms. It makes sense though looking at it through your eyes. I shall sleep easier tonight thanks to you.
Very good wishes, Scotney x

Had to take my daughter to the optician today for an eye test. He was very through using all sorts of tests and equipment. He is refering her to hospital as he thinks she may have a tumour on the brain........I cannot help but think that this dream may have been a premonition after all

The good thing is because of an eye exam the doctor was able to detect a potential problem now. I wish you much strength during this very stressful period Scotney!

Have PM'd you Goddess, but just wanted to let anybody else who may be wondering know..... My daughter attended a hospital appointment yesterday and it was good news. There is no sign of a tumour. She has been told to lose weight, (we are all on the larger side so it will do us all good), as they think this may be a factor as far as the headaches and sickness go. She has to return in a month to double check that all is well, but so far so good.
Many thanks to all of you for your kind words and good wishes xx

That's wonderful to hear, my son recently had a little operation (nothing serious), but these things are so worrying. I'm pleased to hear your daughter is going to be fine Wishing you all the best!
