A panther - symbolizes fierceness, temper, anger, spitefulness, cruelty, courage, passion.
It is a leopard but because of the dark coloring, the spots cannot be easily seen.
The spots, which are called 'eyes', give the leopard the symbol as 'The Great Watcher'....which symbolizes wider awareness. Christian symbolism shows it as the power to protect against evil.

Black is the color of the subconscious, of sinking into the darkness, or mourning. Black is masculine; it is the color of night.
