I have had a recurrent dream for several years. I can fly with my arms only (no wings). Something is always chasing me although I don't know what it is.  I am a little nervous, but not really afraid beccause I know I can always fly away, but I can't relax either, because whatever it is never stops coming.  I sit on rooftops and observe people coming and going in normal activities but no one ever sees me.  Soon, I must move on to another roof or tree.  I wonder why my brain is stuck on this scenario.

Wow! That is so strange. i have had a similar dream for at least 14 years. It has really bothered me. In mine I would get so high up until I would get scared because no one would be there with me. the quietness and solitude made me feel scared. I could fly using my legs though. The more I would move my legs the higher i would get. One night after church while awake and alert I went to my car and witnessed a single leaf caught up in mid air just flying up, up, up to the top of the tree and then it would look as if it would land on the ground but never touched the ground. It stayed in mid air.

Flying is a very common dream theme. But the method of flying is different for everyone.
Usually it means a longing for freedom, time and space away from others and the troubles of life.
Also, it could mean the need to rise above the troubles and pettiness of your life, to become a better person.

A recurring dream of this nature suggests that you have an ongoing problem, or that you take in too much stress. Flying in your dreams could be a means of escaping that stress.

Hope I could help you both!
Good Luck!
