I don't generally remember many dreams but all day this dream has stuck with me.  It has obviously bothered me enough to search out the reason behind it.  I will try to be as descriptive as possible.  Understanding that providing as much information about myself and/or my husband and current events may be helpful I will do my best at that as well.

First a little about us.  I am 47 years old and my husband is 51.  We have been married for 3 and half years with a 14 year history together.  We have a terrific relationship nothing out of the ordinary, are are deeply in love with each other.

We just returned from a visit with his family of 7 brothers and sisters celebrating his father 90Th birthday.  It was quit overwhelming as we haven't seem everyone since our wedding.  His father has Alzheimer's and we don't know if we will see him again.  All in all it was a terrific visit although my husband came home sick.  He has however not been feeling well since we returned from our vacation in February of course and has not seen a doctor and I am a little worried.

OK the dream: This dream occurred last night.  My husband and I are driving in my newly purchased Cadillac Escalde.  It is a snowing night and we pulled into a parking lot that was unplowed and filled with parked cars.  I was driving and he was in the passanger seat.  As I am driving through the parking lot I am hitting cars as if there was not enough room for me to get through.  I asked my husband if I was doing any damage to the other vehicles and told me that I wasn't just to keep going.  I got to the end of the parking lot and we both got out.  We headed for a bicycle shop.  There were bike parked outside of the shop on the side walk.  I pick up a bike and told my husband I would go out to the curb and wait for him while he went inside.  As I walked to the curb I made it a point to keep hidden behind two vehicles as I noticed a man next to a crane.  He was holding some type of cable.  I did not want him to see me.  I then saw my husband come out of the bicycle shop and head toward the man.  The man stopped my husband and asked him something then handed him the cable.  My heart stopped as I saw the man pull something from his pocket.  It was a gun.  He put the gun to my husbands head - my husband saw me and looked at me (OH my heart is pounding....) then the gun went off.  I woke up.

I have no idea what this dream means and as I stated I never remember dreams so vividly ~  Any insight would be better than nothing.

Husband - depicts how you see the relationhip with your husband and the subconscious feelings you have towards him;  your relationship with your sexuality;  sexual and emotional desire and pleasure;  how you relate to intimacy in body, mind and spirit.

Snowy Night:
Snow - chilled and unexpressed emotions or emotions which have been repressed for an extended period of time. It may suggest that you, or someone else, is emotionally cold, unresponsive, or indifferent.
Snow storm/Snowdrifts - implies that hard work lies ahead, but you feel the rewards will be worth it.
Night - suggests you feel some major setbacks and obstacles in achieving your goals. You may find that some issues you are facing are not all that clear and you need to put them to rest for awhile before a decision is made.

Vehicle - usually symbolizes our passage through the journey of life. The way that you travel through your life's journey, and your effectiveness in controlling your life.
The type of vehicle will give indications of the type of experience being related in the dream message. For instance, an ambulance will indicate a need for healing in the giving and receiving of experience, a police car will signify the need for discipline in experiences, an old car might suggest old habits, or 'things the way they used to be' or the need to change the old way of doing things...etc.

Driving - represents the direction you are taking in life. Because you were driving, it suggests you feel the need to be in control of some issue or situation.

Parking lot - In normal, everyday life, it's a perfectly acceptable place to meet, rest, or to change drivers. It suggests your need to quit 'driving yourself' so hard. A need to relax, or rest from the things that 'drive you'. Because there were a lot of other cars and it was unplowed, suggests you feel your life is busy, if not cluttered, lately. And that it will be difficult to take the 'break' that you need.

Hitting cars/Collision - represents a possible conflict of opinions with another person;  careless behavior leading to problems in a relationship;  an emotionally painful encounter;  and careless driving in your waking life.

Bicycle - represents an individual choice of direction, strength and effort, it may symbolize a need for balance and hard work in order for you to succeed in a current endeavor. Also, may suggest the need of assistance along the road of life. Since the bicycle is usually acquired earlier in life than a car, it could be pointing out some of your adolescent, or immature, tendencies.
Alternately, it may indicate that you need to devote time to leisurely pursuits and recreation.

Waiting - represents issues of power/control and feelings of dependence/independence, especially in a relationship. Consider how you feel in the dream while you were waiting. Alternatively, it may denote your expectations and anxieties about some unknown situation or result. You are ready to take action.

Hide/Hiding - suggests the unwillingness to face something, or situation in your waking life. In daily life we hide from things that we don't want to deal with or we hide from danger. If you are hiding out of danger, then you should consider those things in your life that you feel propose a threat to you. They could be internal forces or environmental conditions. Generally, we attempt to hide our own negativity and mistakes. This dream may call for an honest reflection on personal characteristics and an evaluation of how much fear influences our lives and decision-making.

Strangers - If these people are totally unrecognizable (they don't remind you of anyone you know)... they would represent different, and unknown, aspects of yourself. They are extensions and projections of your own subconscious, and personality.
Alternately, a stranger may represent an unknown fear, or danger, you feel in your waking life.

Crane - suggests you are undergoing powerful changes, or making major decisions.

Cable - Strength, durability, the ability to hold your own weight. Less used aspects of your psyche. If the cable is frayed or broken, it suggests you feel you are, or someone else is, in danger in some area of your waking life.

Husband talking with stranger - Because you feel danger in connection with this stranger, it may suggests that you feel your husband is in danger from an unknown source.

Gun - Dreaming about guns and interpreting these dreams depends greatly on your attitude about guns. Many people are uncomfortable with the life-and-death power of guns. If you don't like guns, or are afraid of the gun's power, it is a taboo symbol. Dreaming about guns from this context reveals a sense of being deeply threatened by the environment of the dream or persons in the dream. The gun may represent a nearly desperate need to reassert personal control in the situation or to find personal power in relationship to others.
If the gun in the dream is used to hurt or kill you or someone else, please consider your current difficulties, hostile feelings or serious arguments, which you may have within yourself or with others.

Shooting/Shot - a fearful and violent dream experience. It may reflect aggression, powerlessness, release of strong and dangerous emotions, and/or symbolize a conclusive event in a particular situation or relationship.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you feel there is a possibility of danger somewhere within your waking life?
Are you feeling that you're having to go through a lot of trouble to achieve something?
Do you feel that you must take control of a situation?
Are you feeling a lack of balance in your life at present?
Are you, not wanting to face something in your life, or is your husband?
Are you angry, or conflicted, with anyone in your waking life?
Do you feel powerless, or unable to cope with a current situation?
As you stated, your husband is ill, and doesn't think he needs to see a doctor. This could be bothering you more than you think. Naturally, you are concerned, but are you fearing the worst? That it may turn out to be something bad, and therefore, may be angry with your husband for not wanting to see a doctor?
Hope I could help, good luck!
