The last two nights I have dreampt that I was kidnapped, stripped to my petticoat and bra and chained spread eagled in a dungeon. Then my captors attached ticking machines that tickled my feet sides and armpits and leaving me like this for hours. After laughing and screaming myself hoarse they gag me and add ones that tickled my unmetionable parts except that from the waist down, I was now endowed as a male.
I scream into the gag as the latest deviced leave me with a tent in my petticoat that my captors start abusing. I was woken up by my husband as I was gasping for breath the first time but this time I woke up in tears!

Ever since I was a child, my worst nightmares seem to have a theme of suddenly being endowed as a male below the waist - in later years, it was made worse by other finding out in the dream and taking advantage or abusing me. Sometimes, the dreams like this are funny but many, like this one, can leave me freaked out.

What does this mean?

Kidnapped - The main theme in abduction dreams is fear. The dreamer may be afraid of losing a very important part of himself or of losing his safest and most familiar surroundings. Also, the dreamer may be afraid of leaving his home, childhood, familiar support group, or long standing ideas. These type of dreams may be most prevalent during times of psychological or physical transition and during stressful times of life when the future is somewhat uncertain.
It may also indicate that you are not letting aspects and characteristics of that person be expressed within you. You are trying to contain and/or suppress those qualities of the kidnapped person.

Trapped - trapped dreams are common. They typically occur when you feel great confusion or conflict about how to act in some waking situation, or that you feel there is no way out of a certain situation.

Held captive - Dreaming about being imprisoned, locked in a room, or restrained against your will can be a powerful dream image. What is especially notable about this type of dream situation is how you react to the circumstances. At times we may try to escape, but other times we may just give up, or even cooperate with, our captors. Much of this depends on who is holding you captive and why. If you are cooperating with a familiar captor, it may be that you feel that person controls your life to such an extent that you are unable to act on your decisions. Being held by someone unknown, for an unknown reason suggests you feel as though you are a victim of circumstances beyond your control.
Alternately, it could suggest you feel guilty for something that happened in the past... a past sexual indiscretion, repeating bad gossip about someone,,,anything that you now regret.

Dungeon - a place of terror, torture and punishment. It suggests you feel as though you are being 'tortured' somewhere in your waking life. It may be you feel you are being punished for something you don't do, or you are feeling guilty for something you did do.
Alternately, it could suggest that you feel that someplace in your waking life is like a dungeon....work, home, etc.

Stripped - clothing represents the roles that we play in life, and the stance, or attitudes we use to meet other people or special situations...such as work, danger, self-protection, feelings of reserve, shyness, anxiety, or aggressiveness. Clothes can depict self-respect, and how we see ourselves in society, and how we want others to perceive us ( the difference between what we want, and what we feel others want of us). When we consider their color, our clothes can express our emotional condition and moods. That you are being stripped suggests that you feel vulnerable, caused by the actions of someone within your waking life. That someone is stripping away at your confidence, or self worth.

Underclothes/Underwear - represents intimate sexual feelings, and aspects of yourself that are private. To dream that you are in your underwear, signifies a situation that has created a loss of respect for you.

Panties/Petticoat - represents your feminine attitudes and feelings.... or covering up your sexual feelings. It reflects a female point of view. It may also indicate your need to get to the bottom of things.

Bra - signifies support and protection.. the hidden source of your true energy, the thing that holds you up and gives you support.  Alternatively, it may represent your nurturing side and maternal feelings.

Tickled - yes, it makes you laugh...but it is usually an uncomfortable, almost painful, sensation. Thus, it's a symbol of contrary. It signifies you feel nonstop worries problems within your waking life.

Screaming - symbolizes anger and fear. It is an expression of your powerful emotions which you have kept pent up inside.
If you try to scream, but little or no sound comes out, then is suggests that you need to immediately confront some situation. Perhaps you are unable to pinpoint your fears or feelings.

Gag/Gagged - To dream that you are gagging, or being gagged, denotes that you feel you are not able to express yourself in how you really feel about a situation.

Alternatively, this dream may be your subconsciouswarning you to keep quiet before you put your foot in your mouth.

Having a penis - in a woman's dream, having a penis symbolizes your relationship with your own male characteristics, such as ambition, work capability, aggression, intellect, a desire for respect.

Sandy, it seems as though something is bothering you greatly... either in the area of self-identity (that there is a conflict somewhere between the aspects, roles, and behaviors between male and female), or that there is something in the area of sex, or sexuality, that is causing these recurring dreams.

You said in another post that the girls where you work are 'flirty'. Does this bother you?...That they are possibly using their 'feminine wiles' to get what they want?
Do you feel as though the men there are expecting you to act as they do?..That although you are just as competent as the men are, they don't accept you as an equal because you are a woman?
Do you feel as though you are not allowed to express yourself, or even if you do....no one listens?
Are you feeling that your place of work, or any other place, is like a dungeon?
Were you sexually abused, or harassed, at any time in your life?...or put in a situation where sexual abuse was a very real possibility?
Did you, or your husband, have an extramarital affair...or come very close to it?....Or do you suspect your husband of it?

I don't want to point fingers, or cause you any discomfort. These somewhat 'touchy' questions are for you to ask yourself...to hopefully point you in the right direction, so to speak.

I sure hope this gives you something to go on.
Hugs, Hope, & Happiness,
J
