Cry I keep having this dream over and over again that my Ex Husband is burrying me alive, and he is happy about it I wake up not being able to breathe and light headed and dizzy. As a result of this dream (I have benn having it for 5 years) I am now afraid of enclosed spaces.

I have had sleep studies and they found me to be physically ok. What could this dream (Nightmare) Mean??

hi........my first impression as soon as i read your dream was.........
did your ex husband  put you down alot,  and control you, making you feel suffocated?..... and confused because of his actions?.........
Being buried alive could mean you felt he took your spirit from you.........sucking the life out of you so to speak........
  hope this helps...........

Yeah, my Ex was a man who had to control everything, the scary thing is is that I have not had contact with him in 7 years now, I was also wondering if this could be repressed anxiety from my experience with him? And Yes it does sound as if it is. Thank you now I know what I must do in order to stop these dreams.

Hi........I'm glad I was able to help  ..... and I agree with you about the repressed anxieties.....
And I hope you  work through it and cleanse your spirit of him entirely      Smiley

It may also be a natural reaction to something that your body is feeling while you are asleep.  Sometimes we are so deeply sleeping that the brain thinks our body is not breathing (which can't happen), so it feels like sofocation.
