I've been having the same dream now for a while and I don't know what it means! The environment changes but I see the same animals and the same things happen.  The more recent dream being last night, here goes:

I dreamt that I was at an amusement park with my family and friends. We are at this enormous water slide that had connecting tubes to different outlets. The day was bright and clear and really hot. My nephews are all teeming at the top of the slide trying to be the first one down, lots of laughing and giggling. Finallly its my turn, I begin my descent down the slide. I'm about 3/4's of the way down when I notice a group of three men standing in the pool talking right at the exit of the slide, for some reason I am very uneasy towards these men. Instantly I use my feet to stop my descent and push my way halfway back up and then veer left to a "connecting" slide that exits into a different pool. I yell for my nephews not to go down this slide but to follow me over.  A minute later I reach the exit of slide # 2 ....it's a regular rectangular pool...no ones in it yet, I'm the first one there. Shortly after my family joins me here. As soon as my family appears I see a green flash in the shallow end..it's an alligator the size of Texas slowly creeping on the pool floor towards us. I open my mouth to warn my family and in an instant I am suddenly standing outside of the pool. I'm frantic and can't understand why they can't see him and why they can't understand what I'm saying. The alligator is humongous...he's Dark green with yellow spots..as soon as one my nephews comprehend what I'm saying they all begin to try and swim to the deep end and climb out. When I reach for them I'm instantly transported to trail in the woods. I never get to see what happens, I never know whether or not they made it to safety. Now the trail is more like a cement path that winds up, down and around this wooded area. The feeling of this place is old and abandoned...there is a building on the site that has crumbling walls and broken gates...It's no bigger than the size of a small backyard gazebo. The wooded area is very dark, even though I know that it's daytime in my dreams. Alongside the path are many dead branches, twigs, brambles and leaves scattered about and is waist high.  I glance at the decrepit building and turn back to begin walking the trail. As I walk I pick up speed, nearing a run I turn around only to come face to face with an adult Lion and he's huge. As he exhales thru his nose his breathe blows back my hair from my face. I am instantly in a panic. I turn to run and the Lion gives chase...I can still feel his breathing on my neck and shoulders and he gave a roar that shook the ground. I near the end of this path and have no where to else to run, I turn to face the Lion and he's gone! I'm confused and begin to retrace my steps. I get all the way back to the old building and there He is he is caged inside the building by the iron gates. I step up to the gate and we just kinda have a stare off. The lion is full of restless energy, but I am no longer afraid of him....and then I wake up.

What does the mean? I keep dreaming this dream!

Amusement Park - This dream may be pointing to one of your perceptions about life or be symbolic of life itself. You may see some parts of your life as lively, interesting, adventurous and entertaining. On the other hand, depending on the details of the dream you may see yourself as being on a wild ride, where nothing is terribly serious and life is a perpetual "roller coaster ride." If you have been dealing with a significant amount of stress in your daily life or have been overworked, this dream may be a form of compensation. The dream's message may be to encourage you to find time for fun and relaxation as well as to remind you that life is full of ups and downs and that a lighthearted attitude may be a refreshing change.

Waterslide:
Water - represents your subconscious, your emotions, and your accumulated life experiences, and the flow of 'feeling' energy. It is also a symbol of new life, refreshment, vigor, energy, cleansing, emotional stirrings, fertility, growth, and creative potential.
Slide -  indicates that you are experiencing some instability in your waking life. You may have lost your grip on a situation or relationship.
Therefore a waterslide would suggest that the situation you are dealing with is an emotional one.

3 men who frighten you:
Strangers - If they remind you of someone you know, think about your relationship with them, and the issues that the dream has brought up, or how you relate to the people that are being represented. If these people are totally unrecognizable (they don't remind you of anyone you know)... they would represent different, and unknown, aspects of yourself. They are extensions and projections of your own subconscious, and personality. Alternately, strangers may represent an unknown fear, or danger, you feel in your waking life.
Group of People - depicts how you meet the pressure of accepted social 'norms', and public opinions.
3 - the trinity. It is an active or a process number (something is going on in the psyche). The number three may symbolize vision(forward thinking), completeness, and fulfillment. Also, anything that may contribute to your personal fulfillment for example, the resolving of conflict between two opposing forces.

Alligator - This coldblooded animal could hold several different meanings in your dream. It could symbolically represent something from your memory, emotions, or a current situation or individual in your life. May symbolize a problem, responsibility or task in your real life that has troubled you a bit, and needs "wrestling", sometimes with the help of others.
Also symbolizes treachery, deceit and danger, as well as hidden instincts. You may be feeling that someone around you does not have your best interests at heart, and it might be someone whom you thought you could trust. Your subconscious may be warning you to be very cautious in business ventures, or to think before signing any contract or agreement. It may be a signal for you to take a new perspective on a situation.

May represent power of expression used in a destructive way (angry and hurtful words), or fear of misusing verbal expression. The power of the unconscious mind needing to express itself {repressed emotions}. Dangerous unconscious motivations that need controlling. This dream symbol should encourage you to look at some of your more "dangerous" emotions, memories, and experiences, hurtful and negative things being "swallowed" by the subconscious.

Green & Yellow:
Green - has always stood for vegetation and nature. Green is growth, connection to nature, and innocence. Also, peace, tranquillity, the Earth, and money.
Dark green calls up a negative attitude towards life, exhaustion, breathing difficulties, tension, sleep disorders and paranoia.
Bright green refers to overwhelming emotions.
Green that is soft and pleasant stands for relaxation, contentment, sensitivity, hopes and self-confidence.

Yellow - a happy and encouraging color. But it can easily turn into unpleasantness. It is the color of intuition, premonition, and perceptions.
Warm yellow is the color of the radiant energy of the sun; it is a symbol of optimism, joy and spirit.
An unpleasant shade of yellow stands for irritation, envy, extroversion, extreme motivation and activity.

Wooded trail:
Woods/Forest - represent the aspects in the subconscious; a need for growth and strength. Also solitude, quiet, and an affinity for nature and natural things.
Darkness - symbolizes ignoring of truth or fact, the subconscious, and the unknown. Darkness also hides one's surroundings, and so darkness in a dream could indicate that you feel you are, or someone else is, 'in the dark' about something and need to find, or face, the truth.
Path - Your direction in life; are you taking a path created by someone else or taking a path never taking before, are you following your true path?
Quiet, open path - signifies clarity of thought and peace of mind. It may also symbolize your progress.
Blocked or windy path - denotes that you need to give serious attention to the direction you are heading in your personal and/or business life. You also need to take time out to consider and rethink the consequences before acting on your choices.

Shack/Building:
Shack/Shanty - signifies a weariness you feel somewhere in your waking life. Also that you may be feeling the need to go in search of a better life, or better health (physical, spiritual, psychological, or emotional).
Deserted/Empty - symbolizes a lack of pleasure, enthusiasm, and good feelings, loneliness, lack of relationship, sense of isolation, and something 'dead'.
Alternatively, Your potential, opportunity, space to be yourself...(depending on your feeling quality of this place in your dream).

Lion - In the positive sense, a lion represents dignity, pride, intensity, courage, valiant energy, great strength, aggression, power, leadership, and dominion.
It suggests you feel you have much influence over others. You may also need to exercise restraint in your own personal and social life.
You feel a need to overcome your emotions and/or difficulties.

Chased - In this dreams like this, you are usually being chased by some animals, villains, monsters, or unknown people who wish to harm you. But often these pursuers represent current tensions, or issues. This dream usually shows the level of stress you have at the moment, and is a signal to take control over the worries and resolve issues with a clear head. Alternately, you might be trying to avoid something. Identifying what, or who, the chaser represents might clarify what you're trying to avoid.  If the person or thing chasing you is identifiable as a part of yourself, the dream might involve a fear from within, such as an unhealthy relationship or unhealthy behavior.

Running away:
Running Away - suggests something, or someone, in your life is difficult to face, and that you would rather run away from it than face it.
Escape - represents the need or desire to break away from unpleasant people or circumstances in your life.

Lion is caged:
Cage/Caged - suggests that you may be experiencing inhibition and powerlessness in some areas of your life. Additionally, you may be feeling restricted, confined or restrained in a current relationship or business deal, and may have concerns about your personal freedom. Somebody may be keeping you on a short leash and you are lacking the freedom to act independently.
Dreaming about a cage is always connected with the limitations imposed on you by someone, or something in your life. It could be your surroundings, upbringing, promises you made, finances, a bad relationship, etc.
Wild animal in a cage - signifies that you feel a need to overcome your fears. It is also symbolic of you being able to control you animalistic rages and anger.

No longer afraid - suggests you recognize someone/something for who/what they are, and that you feel you are gaining the confidence to confront the situation caused by them.

Staring - indicates that you need to take a much closer look at some situation or relationship. Perhaps you need to approach a situation from another perspective or viewpoint. Alternatively, it represents your passivity. You need to start taking action.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you needing some time away, or a bit of fun?
Are you having a conflict with someone in your life, or are you caught in the middle of someone else's troubles?
Are you questioning the loyalty of someone who claims to 'care about you'?
Is there someone in your life that don't exactly trust, and you are trying to get rid of them, or sever their 'hold' on you?
Are you trying to learn the truth about someone, or a situation?
Do you feel frustrated or weary withing a situation in your waking life?
Are you feeling that you are alone in making a decision about something?
Have you been avoiding someone or something, and now it's almost out of control?
I hope I could give you some insight, good luck!
