I recently had a dream that my hair was cut off by someone not present in the dream.  I've had my hair pretty long since I was a child so I was a little weirded out in the dream. My cut hair was on a table in front of me and it really dry and I started eating it. I was disgusted after I started eating it, and then I woke up.

Statistical stuff : I'm a 22 year old single female.

Hair is highly valued by most cultures, and is a valuable dream symbol. It is symbol of vanity, security, sensuality, sexual appeal, and of youth. It represents physical and spiritual strength. In our dreams hair can represent our thoughts, knowledge, and reasoning.
Cutting your hair may symbolize a need for a more organized life, or 'less thinking'. Also a symbol for denial of sensual, and physical drives or urges.

Eating objects that are not food, or repulsive things symbolizes having objectional experiences, and trying to stomach' things that make you 'sick'.

Have you had to change your habits, and you're finding it hard to adjust?
Did/do you have to do something you thought was disgusting, and you're trying to 'get over it'...or get used to it?(job, task, etc)

Hope this gives you something to go on, good luck!
