 In real life I'm gay, my dream is short and basic, but I don't understand it.

dream :   I was in a bar / pub ( neither gay or straight) i had a sense that it was busy, but I can't remeber the seeing the hustle and bustle. All I remeber is being there on my own and a drop dead georgous woman walks over to me and starts chatting me up, flirtacious the works,kissing but nothing more, but the promise of more. We arrange to meet up at another place and time and day, bit like a date. I was filled with nerves and excitement. The next meeting was kind of surreal, calm ambience and I was in some kind of uniform that was part of my life, but I don't recall in what way. The woman was in a black top with dog collar, she was a minister and although I'm not christian, it seemed right to be with her and wanting to develop a relationship with. It felt like we belonged together and the union was right.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Bar/Pub - symbolizes a need for some type of social interaction... to have contact with others, or be sociable. If you rarely allow yourself to relax and socialize, this dream may be compensatory in nature.
Alternately, it may suggest you are currently escaping into a environment where daily cares and concerns are meaningless.

Unknown Woman - Sometimes, strangers in your dreams represent different, known and unknown, aspects of yourself. They are extensions and projections of your own subconscious, and personality.

Kiss/Kissing - Depending on how the kiss makes you feel. I t left you with a positive feeling, it represents the acceptance of what, or who, is being kissed. Also, sexual agreement, tenderness, and movement towards unity. If the kiss left you feeling sad, lonely, angry or any negative feeling, it represents a feeling loss, betrayal, or duplicity(as with Judas kissing Jesus). Idioms: kiss of life, kiss of death, kiss 'it' goodbye.

Excitement - Emotions expressed in dreams are a way for people to act out their feelings which they would not normally express if they were awake. This provides a "safe" outlet for these emotions instead of letting them be pent up.
Expressing excitement in a dream would suggest that you are feeling hopeful, but in your waking life you fear 'getting your hopes up'. That you want to feel happy, but you're afraid of disappointment.

Clothes represent the roles that we play in life, and the stance, or attitudes we use to meet other people or special situations...such as work, danger, self-protection, feelings of reserve, shyness, anxiety, or aggressiveness. Clothes can depict self-respect, and how we see ourselves in society, and how we want others to perceive us ( the difference between what we want, and what we feel others want of us). When we consider their color, our clothes can express our emotional condition and moods.

Uniform - This could be hinting at something in your life which you feel you have some sort of duty or obligation to. It could be a symbol of conformity or thoughts shared by others as well.

Black 'top' :
Black - the color of the subconscious, of sinking into the darkness, or mourning. Black is masculine; it is the color of night. Black stands for limitation, hidden things, despair, depression, things that are considered 'taboo', conservatism, old age, melancholy and sacrifice(the giving up of things to make you, or someone else happy), your shadow (an aspect of your personality that is hidden, unknown and/or repressed within your subconscious mind).

Blouse/Shirt - represents feelings, emotions and your public image.

Dog collar - signifies confinement and restraint. You may be going through a frustrating work situation or a confining relationship, or may be feeling that someone, or some situation, has you 'by the neck'.

Minister - signifies a feeling for, or need of, spiritual guidance, not in the sense of 'religion', per se, but as a need to find out who you are, and how you fit into the 'grand scheme' of things.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you been feeling an 'identity crisis' of sorts?
Are you having a hard time accepting yourself for who you are?
Do you feel your life is full of sacrifices, just to keep others happy?
Is there some 'possibility' that may turn into an 'actuality' in your life, but you feel if you look forward to it, it won't happen or you'll be disappointed?
Are you feeling as though you need to hide who you are, or feel that you need to 'go along' with everyone else, just to be accepted?
Do you feel there is something, or someone, that makes you feel restrained, or has a 'stranglehold' on you?
If you aren't in a relationship, are you wishing you were?
If you are in a relationship, do you feel your partner doesn't 'get' you, or doesn't care?
Hope this helps you, good luck!
Thanks for that Jay. Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I have had huge computer problems and you have also given me a lot to think about. I could probably answer yes to every question you asked.
