Sorry about that Kat. Admin has been changing over the site to a better server...but in the move, all the posts( Dreams and their Interpretations) from the other day were lost. He made a post about it in the news and updates forum. So if anyone needs to re-post...go ahead.
Ok, that being said, on to your dream....
School - A place of learning and knowledge, and represents life's lessons learned or not learned; approaching different levels of consciousness. This could mean that one has a desire to learn, or that one seeks higher ideals. If you are going back to school, it may hint at unresolved issues, or new learning opportunities. If you dream of being back to school as an adult, pay more attention to your past and things from your childhood. Dreaming of school also could carry a message that life wants to teach you a lesson. Alternately, may reflect tension and pressures in your waking life, also it suggests that you are reluctant to break old associations, or habits. The school in your dream could suggest that you keep on making the same mistakes and it is time to learn from past experiences.
Hallway - represents the way we meet other people or allow them into our life, the receptive female reproductive function, and the connecting link with different aspects of yourself.
Mother - represents, nurturing, wisdom, the subconscious, intuition, natural and instinctive life, and more experienced part of feminine self aspect. Also, your relationship with your mother. That the dream isn't about your Mom, but she is there, suggests you feel the need for guidance, or support.
Cancer - represents all of those things, or habits, that bother, disturb, anger, or hurt us and that we never directly deal with or let go of. Those things that are out of control. Disturbing aspects in your life that threaten to overcome your healthy self. Your mental, psychic or emotional problems may be getting out of hand, and 'infecting' many areas of thought and function. You may be experiencing anxiety and fear as a result of a bad habit or a certain situation in your daily life.
Dying - The message may be that your old self needs to be left behind. This may mean that you must stop carrying around with you the crippling burden of your past (irrational, or guilty feelings and martyrdom complex, or any other negative emotions) and, instead, you must open yourself to what the present moment is offering. Alternatively, the "old self" may be old attachments, habits, ambitions, values, or goals... in which case the dream is telling you that the only way forward for you lies through giving these up and looking deeper within yourself for better values, etc.
Death - represents the end of something, with a new beginning ...IE: leaving an old job for a new one...giving up of an old habit, or way of thinking. Death in a dream rarely means a real death.
Teacher - represents your inner guide who is strict to you, but always has useful advice. Dreaming of a teacher is a reminder that life is always a continuous test.
Class gathered around you - represents the feeling the need for support, or being aware of the support given to you by family and friends.
Grey/Gray - a rather depressing color representing a general feeling of sadness, or just plain 'blah'. Some believe it to be the color of the aura of a 'prison'. Some believe it to indicate a slow period in the dreamer's life, when he or she is merely 'marking' time. Could suggest you feel as though you are a 'prisoner' of your feelings and emotions.
Room - rooms represent a particular aspect of yourself or a particular relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. To dream that you find or discover new rooms, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally. To see an appealing or comfortable room in your dream, signifies opulence and satisfaction in life. To see a dark, eerie or confining room, denotes that that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.
Breath/Breathing - being alive, pace of life, emotional state(peaceful, difficult, etc.) Dreaming that you cannot breathe indicates that you are feeling emotionally exhausted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you feel guilty for starting to smoke again? Do you have other habits that you know are unhealthy, or destructive, to your health and well-being? Do you feel 'trapped' or 'imprisoned' by your emotions...feelings of blah, and general malaise? Do you feel as though your life is in a rut? Do you feel the need to improve your relationship with your own mother?...or feeling the need for a little mothering yourself?
I'm so sorry for your loss, I can truly sympathize, having been there myself 3 times. Giving birth, or having a miscarriage(including a D&C), you can suffer from postpartum depression. I honestly think that PPD is worse after a miscarriage, because you feel the loss of that child more keenly. I would suggest you talk with your family physician. A change in diet and some proper exercise can help to lift the spirits in a better, and more long term, and healthy way than any prescription. Is there a older female(mother figure) in your life that you can talk to? Maybe a good cry with someone who understands you can help you feel that you're not alone.
LCM is right about the grey color. Try to examine all the aspects of your life that are causing the 'grey' feelings.
Hope this gives you some comfort, and helps allay some of your fears. Hugs, Hope & Happiness, J
