In my dream, I look out the window of my house and see a cougar in the front yard. Before you know it, the cougar is inside my house but is not bothering anyone. It is just hanging around the living room. We all know it is there but its not really a big deal anymore. By the way, a female friend of mine is also there who we rarely see anymore which is kind of odd in itself.
My husband is sitting at the kitchen table eating cereal and all of a sudden, the cougar goes under the table and jumps on my husband, pushing him back & out of his chair. The cougar attacks my husband but doesn't really hurt him bad. I am trying to get the cougar off of him and th cougar ends up backing away and he is gone from the dream. I call 911. My husband only has a minor scratch on his lip.

Thats pretty much all I remember.

Thanks!

A couple of facts about myself that may help:  I am a 31 year old married, mother of 2 daughters.  My husband and I have only been married 9 months.  My 2 girls are his step-daughters.  He has 2 young children from his previous marriage but they live out of town and I have never met them.  I don't know if that has anything to do with anything but he did get an e-mail (almost never happens) from his ex-wife yesterday telling him that his kids received a shipment that we sent them.  The female friend in my dream used to live with us but moved out in October (my husband is not too crazy about her) and she's been a "friend" of mine since high school but is not necessarily someone I would consider a very loyal friend.  Hope this helps!

Cougar - symbolizes wild beauty, power, grace, and raw emotion. It often refers to feminine power and aggression. This could be a representation of someone you don't entirely trust,...(ie: your friend, your husband's ex-wife, etc) Or could be an extreme emotion you, yourself, are feeling...(anger, jealousy, possesiveness, or anxiety)
Alternatively, it also indicates a feeling of lurking 'danger'.

Female friend - that it is a 'known' friend, represents your actual feelings about this friend. What her characteristics are. That you said, "but is not necessarily someone I would consider a very loyal friend." represents you feeling dishonesty, or deceit, somewhere in your waking life.

Houses in dreams generally represents you, the dreamer :
Livingroom - symbolizes personal leisure, space to 'be yourself', and day-to-day life.
Kitchen - the heart of the house, and for most families, the kitchen is a place of warmth and nourishment (emotional as well as physical). Also symbolizes the 'mother role'..( pride in the ability, or a wish for the ability, to create a home and contribute something valuable to the family).
As a symbol for your emotional life, this is a place where you can be creative.
The kitchen almost always reflects the need to work through your current situation using your heart rather than your head.

Table - suggests assimilation, or "coming together" of varying parts of your personality. It could be that you are working on becoming aware of your own multi-dimensional nature and are attempting to become a more harmonious individual.
Also, the table represents nourishment, friendship, unity, and refers to your social and family connections.
It could represent emotionally charged events, such as a family dinner, contractual negotiations, or pleasant/unpleasant meetings.

The cougar being under the table would suggest you are feeling an underlying deceit about something. Something you feel could disrupt the harmony within your home and family.

Attacking husband - To dream that you or someone you love is being attacked by an animal, is a warning to be careful with those around you. Take notice on who you know in your waking like that shares and exhibits the same qualities of the animal that attacked you in your dream.

Calling 911 - suggests you feel the need for intervention or outside help....support from friends, or family not within your household.

Lip - signifies sensuality, sex, love, and romance. They are also seen as a means of communication as in the familiar phrase "read my lips".
That he was injured on his lip, suggests you feel he may have said something wrong, or wasn't entirely honest with you about something.
____________________________________

Do you feel a threat of some sort coming from his ex-wife?
Did a discussion come up about your 'not-so-loyal' friend?
Has something happened which has arroused some negative suspicions?
Do you feel that your husband is keeping something from you, or has he said something that hurt your feelings?
Have you been feeling that you need some guidance from a friend or family member?

I hope this gives you something to go on....best wishes!

Very interesting things to think about.  I do have to admit (although I don't really want to!) that your questions do make sense to me and my life...

Thank you so much!

You're welcome. Glad I could help. I don't like it when I have to point out a negativity, or but it's what your dream is saying.  I hope you can solve your troubles.
Sweet dreams, hugs & happy wishes.
