Recently I had this dream and wondered what it could mean?

I am at my Mum's house with her family and we are all in the garage hunting for something that we know is about to explode (I say something because it wasn't a bomb) we find what turns out to be an aerosol and we figure out that the only way to stop it from exploding is to put it in a metal container and heat it up - effectively boiling it.

Whilst we are waiting for the aerosol to "defuse" we all wait out in the street most of the woman are in the driveway stopping people getting back in and everyone else is in the road. I sit down, my boyfriend is standing to one side of me, my brother to the other. My boyfriend makes a comment (although I can't remember it) and my brother responds "Yes, well she is rather obessive".
The comments angers me and I walk off to join the other ladies on the driveway.

Mothers' house - a house is a symbol of yourself, your self-image. The rooms may be your emotions, attitudes, complexes. If it is parental home, what you may feel may say a lot about your childhood feelings.

Her(your mother)family - Dreams of family may affirm or undermine "normal" feelings about ourselves. Extended family relations are very significant in developing the family lore and ritual. As you mature and reflect critically on normalcy in your understanding of it, these rituals either affirm or work against the norms of your perspective. Who does what, why and when is often determined by influences in the extended family. The result is that we construct a family story that defines who we are in our family and what our family means in the world around us.

Garage - represents a place for temporary resting of goals. A storage place for ideas or ambitions, or storing hidden aspects that unconsciously drive you in your waking life.

Explode/Explosion - represents anger, dramatic release of energy making changes in self-expression, social upheaval, fear, and orgasm.

Aerosol - Represents someone, or a situation, being 'under pressure'.

Women in driveway - That they were keeping others away from he perceived danger, suggests that you feel the women of your family (including yourself) are leaders, and strong-willed.

Boyfriend - symbolizes an actual relationship to a male figure in your life, or it may symbolize the relationship to your masculine side. Incorporating masculine aspects without letting them rule creates balance. Those masculine aspects that can be trusted.

Brother - represents the masculine part of yourself (psyche). Projection of those qualities you find in your brother onto someone else or yourself. May symbolize some aspect of your relationship with your real brother.

Anger - People who dream of being angry often have difficulty expressing the emotion constructively in waking life. Anger is a reaction to a perceived threat. As such, anger reflects our feeling that we are being denied what is ours by necessity or by right. Dreams that contain anger may often give insight into our waking relationships.
Sometimes, you may find yourself dreaming of being angry at someone who never angers you in waking life. This may simply be an indication that they are not perfect, a sort of check that reminds you that they are human.
Alternately, it may be a carryover from your daily life. In our dreams we can experience and express such feelings safely. Feeling great anger in your dream may be disturbing but pay attention to it and attempt to deal with all of your emotions in a more appropriate and productive manner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is there an issue between you and someone else that is causing you to feel stressed, or under pressure?
Are you angry about something in your waking life, and you are afraid of saying something for fear of losing control?
Have you been told you are too emotional, or oversensitive, recently....and it upset you more than you'd like to admit?
Is there something that you've had to 'put off' until a later time, and it upset you?
Hope this gives you some insight, good luck.
yup, figuratively. in addition to J's answer. you are having trouble controlling your emotions. you may have some reserved emotions towards guys. and whenever a problem arises, you tend to escape from it.
anger can lead you nowhere, but more anger. let it go, give yourself some slack. and everything's going to be ok.
