Dreamt my son who doesn't speak to me came to see me (he was sad) In a big house...mine in the dream..not in real life.  The cupboard opened and forks were falling down trying to stab me on the top of my hand.  Was trying to scream for my husband (step father to my son) and could barely say his name attempting to do so several times.  I was woken up by my husband who heard me calling his name with struggle.

House - A house usually always represents you, or rather 'the self'...your body and the attributes of your personality.
They symbolize your emotional and psychological 'self'. All of your experiences, stages of development, and parts of your conscious and subconscious life may be represented by that house. The house may be representing issues concerning a particular dilemma in your life, or it may be more general and comprehensive.

The fork is an emblem of disagreements and conflicts in the relationships.

Hands - represent your relationship to those around you and how you connect with the world. Hands serve as a form of communication. Perhaps you need to lend out a helping hand to someone.

Left hand symbolizes your graciousness and feminine, receptive qualities.
Right hand symbolizes masculine, active attributes.

Your dream is most likely about what has caused the communication, and relationship, breakdown with your son. It's your subconscious wanting to repair your relationship, and your fear of saying something you may regret.

Good Luck!
