Hey there,

I am trying to figure out what the nightmare I had means. Any input would be appreciated...

In this dream I was picking pieces of something out of my left ear ....no matter how many times I took a piece of this 'stuff' out there seemed to be more. Finally I pulled out the remaining larger piece and it was the rest of the body of a dead snake that I had been picking out.

Ummmm Huh

Ear - suggests that you are easily impressed by people, and could be your subconscious telling you not to listen to gossip around you.
If your ears are clogged or you are deaf: you trust people who don't deserve it.
Cleaning you ears, or you are taking something out of your ears, it suggests that your mistrust towards someone is justified.

Snake - represents many different things, but usually the 'life-process'. If we think of a person's life from conception to death, we see a flowing, moving event. The snake depicts the force of energy behind that movement and purpose that leads us to both, growth and death... along with the passionate emotions and urges, that drive us so powerfully. So, in some dreams, the snake represents our sexuality, and vitality, throughout our life. In other dreams, the snake can represent creative, or poisonous, energy of our thoughts and emotions.
In the destructive aspect, the snake represents the temptations, poisonous thoughts, and negative emotions that can destroy us.
In the positive aspect, the snake represents a sharp awareness of the world around you, as well as a renewal of life and opportunities.

Are you questioning the loyalty of someone who claims to be your friend?
Has someone offered you a 'deal' or opportunity that sounds too good to be true?
Did someone tell you something in secret and it's bothering you?

Hope I could help, best wishes!
