A car represents our life activities, job, family, clubs, church, whatever makes your life "go," so to speak. Being in a car accident could represent some kind of major problem in your life, maybe conflict at work, or a difficult problem... I'm sensing that there's been some kind of career failure in your past, or a perceived failure on your part. I might be way off. Since your dream singled out your husband at the party, I wonder if he has something to do with the problem that caused your injury?
Whatever this problem is, it has dented your head, which is the seat of your brain, your thoughts, your emotions, etc. The head might also represent your will, the part of you that makes decisions and controls the rest of your life. this problem has created a handicap and a trauma for you.
You feel that you are unable to express properly your pain/damage caused by this problem. The people around you in the dream could represent various aspects of your internal self, or they could represent, in an abstract way, everyone around you--family, friends, co-workers, etc. You feel that they all "know" about what happened, but they are not giving you the nourishment you need. If you feel that the crowd of people at the party represents your internal self, then this might be a sign that you are repressing your trauma from this event. You know it happened, but you are refusing to acknowledge it at the level that you should. If you feel that the crowd of people represents the literal people around you, then your dream might be showing you that you don't know how to open up and express the trauma to the very people you need support from in order to be fully healed.
Those are some ideas. I hope something seems right.

"Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness." (~Jesus) Luke 11:34-35
