Weapons - represent our aggressive feelings of antipathy, or hatred, and are associated with physical violence.
Gun - Dreaming about guns and interpreting these dreams depends greatly on your attitude about guns. Many people are uncomfortable with the life-and-death power of guns. If you don't like guns, or are afraid of the gun's power, it is a taboo symbol. Dreaming about guns from this context reveals a sense of feeling deeply threatened by the environment of the dream or persons in the dream. The gun may represent aggression, anger, potential danger, or a nearly desperate need to reassert personal control in the situation or to find personal power in relationship to others. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence. Alternatively, a gun can represent the penis and male sexual drive. Thus, the gun may mean power and impotence.
If you are comfortable with the recreational use of guns, they may be less important as a dream symbol. If you are a recreational target shooter or hunter, guns may not have much significance apart from what is being shot at or who is hunting with you. If the gun in the dream is used to hurt or kill you or someone else, please consider your current difficulties, hostile feelings or serious arguments, which you may have within yourself or with others.
Shooting/Shot - a fearful and violent dream experience. It may reflect aggression, powerlessness, release of strong and dangerous emotions, and/or symbolize a conclusive event in a particular situation or relationship. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Is there tension between you and your daughter over a decision you've made? Have you done anything to warrant aggression pointed at you? Did you make a decision, at work or home, that may have left you vulnerable, or open to hostility? Do you feel guilty for something you did or didn't do? Are you angry with yourself? Have you exhibited an 'I don't care', or a 'so shoot me', attitude about a recent issue?
Hope I could help, good luck!
