I dreamed my fish tank broke while I was putting something in it. The water started pouring out from a corner seam. I was trying to rescue the fish and put them in bowls and then I was suddenly trying to get away from being detected by vampires in the house. What could this mean. By the way the fishtank is at my office.

I found out this afternoon after I posted this dream, that my receptionist had a dream that she came to work and I was trying to cleanup the water that was leaking from the fish tank and that almost all of the water was on the floor. I thought that this was very strange. Any ideas or comments?

Hi,

This is interesting because for years I have recurring aquarium dreams. Had it recently after stopped having them for a while. In my dreams, I have a huge aquarium and hundreds of species of sea fish flourish in it. The location could be anywhere: my house, my NYC apartment, my childhood place, my grandparents' place, ..., any place I've spent time in.  Sometimes the aquarium takes an entire room. The thing is, at one point, either I have to change water or baby fish are born, water start to leak out, some fish are out of water and goes everywhere, slippery, out of control and dying. I end up in great distress.

I have a big research group. Some of the researchers I hire are incompetent and out of control. My wife and I both suspect that this dream is about my staff issues. However, I started to have this dream when I was still in graduate school... Anyone else have had aquarium dreams? Any insights?

I feel that it may be related to my job. I am the DON for a Home Health Agency and I am the only nurse at this time and I have 32 patients. My full time nurse quite. I have a full plate.

So your work situation is obvious enough for your receptionist to notice to. Can this explain her dream? What does the vampire stand for then?

If the aquarium stands for your work. It is leaking because you are overloaded. You try to work harder to meet the demand, and as you were doing so, something threatening to suck your blood stopped you...

I am not entirely sure, but I think that Corporate is money hungry - therefore they do not care about my stress at being the only nurse seeing 32 patients. I think the vampires might represent Corporate. Any suggestions?
